Red wine hamburger
with Cabernet Sauvignon Chile
Ingredients
Onions
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of Masterchef Chile Cab (red wine)
Hamburger
- 1/2 kg of ground meat
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 clove of garlic
- Goat cheese
- Artisan bread
Method
- Being by caramelizing the onions. Melt the butter in a frying pan, then add the sugar and blend well. Add the onion, and taste it with salt and pepper.
- Cook over a low heat until the onions turn translucent. Once they are ready, pour in the red wine and let it evaporate completely. The onions are ready when they are soft and caramelized.
- For the burger meat preparation, blend all ingredients in a bowl. Shape the mixture into a hamburger shape.
- Fry the meat over medium-high heat to your desired cook point.
- Place the cooked meat onto artisanal bread and generously top with the red wine caramelized onions, adding a touch of goat cheese for extra flavor.
